How do I get this to work? I've followed the video to a T yet it is not installing. Is this a Lowarance only thing? If so why is not advertised like that?

I'll ask Howie in Fishing support if he can chime in.

The Hobie Rudder Ready mount was designed by our engineers to accommodate MOST transom mount transducers, however the transducer that likely came with your Striker 4 has a unique mounting style when compared to many others on the market. You could potentially position the two halves of the rudder ready transducer mount vertically, extending off the bottom of the rudder, to be able to adapt to your transducer. Since we don't recommend this orientation in our manual, be sure to take extra care in shallow water. The other option would be to glue into the hull using Marine Goop (72021015 MARINE GOOP 3.7oz CLEAR).
