Just a quick tip: don't count on the clip-brackets alone to secure the paddle to your i11s; I lost mine yesterday fishing in some rougher water, didn't even notice until I was back at the launch (fishing buddies pulled me in, no problem). Reviewing my video footage, the paddle kept sliding backwards when I went over waves, until finally it just broke free. Maybe if the fishing weren't so great I'd have noticed my paddle sliding off the boat!

I lanyard everything loose with some wonderful elastic things I got cheap on amazon in multipack, I guess meant for fishing poles. When the stretch runs out a very strong sheath remains; meanwhile they stay out of the way retracted. Big loops at both ends usually eliminate need for knots or biner. Well, for the mirage drive I click in with a small caribiner.

The Hobie paddle may benefit by some duct tape wrapped where the shaft meets the somewhat loose bracket. Non-Hobie paddle shafts seem to come even narrower and may need a lot of tape to expand their diameter. I wish I could sell you my Hobie paddle cheap - the blades are so extremely flexible compared to my other paddles, they bend ridiculously under power stroke.

Thanks guys, I picked up a cheap non-hobie paddle (the horror!) and will velcro it to the bracket holder.

I leash everything I don't want to loose.
