Post subject:  looking for storage tips for the winter

hi Matt,

it's winter here and i was wondering what's the best/safest way to store the i12s inflatable during winter ?

at the moment i opened it up (deflated) flat on a table in my basement, it's fresh and a little damp.

thanks for the tips

P.S:i'm still planning to use it during winter but not as often as the rest of the year

Boy... coming from a So California guy where it has been in the 80's this week... no great experience here with cold weather.

right, i understand.

But could you please ask your engineers to issue a couple of tips on this topic, which surely concern people who bought your kayaks and live in a place where winter comes back every year.

thanks in advance

Our engineers do have some experience:

Store...

Dry
Valves Open
Storage bag straps loose
Insure no impacts while frozen

thanks, i appreciate,

while we'are at it:

on the long term, do you recommend applying any type of products in spray or whatever to keep the skin of the kayak suple especially where it is often folded ?

I would use the Hobie UV protectant. This spray is really good on Vinyl products and can actually rejuvenate the materials.
