I am looking at the i12 but also want some built in fishability. One answer could be a new seat like the water warehouse Gone Fishin which has pole holders build in. Since this is an inflatable and not a hardshell, can you use other brand seats like the water warehouse Gone Fishin? The strapping looks different. |

You fish inflatables naked. You bring one rod, a small box or two of lures. Plenty of water. Some food...and raingear. F-it up and you have no one to blame but yourself. You don't go out into the ocean proper. You don't need a rod holder, you are the rod holder. You move with the drive and hold the rod YOURSELF...trolling has never been better. You don't need a depth finder, inshore your paddle or lures tell you depth. Get on a plane, get on 4 wheeler and you fish water no one has ever fished. If you need your toys get a hard shell. If you need a camera or video mount...then you don't understand the spirit of the inflatable yak that can put you in 3 inches of water miles away from a boat launch and you're on the water in 5 minutes |

i would recommend using a milk crate to hold your stuff and fishing rods and reels. PVC pipe about 1.5 inches is a good rod holder. Just zip tie the pipe to the crate and then place your rod butt into the opening. I do not have picts, but maybe someone will post up this concept... It is not mine but I have seen it on many site about kayak fishing.. good luck. |
