I was chomping at the bit to go over the bar into the ocean but CG wouldn't let me, they had it restricted to >20' boats....
I noticed no loss of directional control but these were rounded 3' swells. The wide, flat i11s is super stable so far in all conditions, sitting on the edge with both legs over the side and it was still flat on the water.
no steering cable problems so far but I do have 2 very minor issues- one of my side compartments has a really slow leak (takes about 4 days to lose pressure) and one side of the drive is popping up out of it's lock under heavy pedaling (I think slightly more spring tension on the lock will fix this).
cheers, roger
That was a great video! Makes me feel even better about my decision to buy the i11s.
Sucks about the leak...do you leave your boat fully inflated for days on end? At what PSI?
yes, storing mine inflated at normal pressure, hanging up under a carport shelter using 3 straps covered with pipe insulation tubes.
First time, after about a week, I noticed wrinkles on one side and sure enough, the other 2 chambers were still full but that side was very low. The next trip out, 6 hours on a lake, I checked the side chambers occasionally and no difference. At the end of the day, both sides still felt exactly the same. So it is a really slow leak that I am not sure how to even locate, ignoring it for now...cheers, roger
