I have a 2015 TI and also a 26 foot trailer-able sailboat. It occurs to me that trips on the sailboat would be a lot more fun bringing something like the i14T along http://www.hobiecat.com/mirage/mirage-i14t/ plus it seems the i14T would stow on sailboat and be easy to transport inside the sailboat.

Since I already have the TI with two sets of vantage seats and mirage drives, it "occurs" to me that if I could just purchase the i14T hull/rudder, I could use the seats and pedals I already own and have a great little storable dingy for the sailboat.

So.. are the seats and mirage drive interchangeable between the TI and the i14T?

And. does Hobie sell just the i14T inflatable hull alone - and if so, where can I find any pricing?

The i-Series seat is a little different. Has shorter legs and uses them to mount in the hull. Has webbing straps that connect to the hull.

Ask a dealer for Hull pricing. We have a pricing formula for the removed parts from a hull package.

I believe the rigid hull mirage drives have a guidepin that has to be removed to fit into i-series. Look for threads with rogerdodger where he tells how to remove it and how it isn't really needed even for rigids (prevents inserting at the wrong angle).

In case getting second set of rigid seats is bulky or expensive, I posted my seaeagle inflatable seat on an old thread. Someone was skeptical about my sloppy way of attaching it back then, and they would be happy to know I have recently tied it down tighter and used the forward straps with extenders to prevent backslide. Now I can use it for secondary stability in waves, and since I pump it tight and make the bottom convex, I can side-slide a bit and counter the heeling comfortably when sailing. Perfect back support, but don't underinflate or the cover gets torqued.

P.S. You could get the whole i14t package, then sell the 180 drives at a premium since Hobie isn't selling them as upgrades for a few months. Or maybe find last years demo i14, and keep the unused non-180 drives and sell your used ones.
