Now that the striped bass are running in my area, I'm feeling the disadvantages of flying blind. I've strongly considered rogerdodger's ingenious board mount for a sonar, but I need mine to be closer, preferably right next to me while I'm fishing.

Has anyone used the glue-on mounts on their i11s, or any other sonar mounting systems? Would love to hear alternatives to the glue-on mounts if you have one. Currently I have all my rod holders/flag mounted on Tracs to my cooler, which sits behind me. Wondering if there's a way to add a fish finder too?

This is our best solution right now:

RAM Bond-A-Base, Part No. 72023042
RAM Base 1", Part No. 72023045
RAM 18" Transducer Arm, Part No. 72023035
RAM U-Bolt Base 1" Ball, Part No. 72023017
RAM Fishfinder Mount, Part No. 72023053

Recommended keeping your battery seperate in a dry box/bag that's secured to the kayak.

Thank you! I think glue-on is probably my only option. Wish I could install on the left side, but the paddle is in the way.

One question: Does that RAM ball base come off the Bond-A-Base easily? Or am I folding the kayak with the ball thing attached?

The RAM base is thru-bolted to the Bond-A-Base and once it's glued down, it may be difficult to remove and remount. The kayak can still be easily folded with the 1" RAM base left on the yak. If you end up going this route, just make sure you don't glue the Bond-A-Base down on top of a fold crease.

Gotcha, thank you for the info!
