It seems the front track on my kayak is not aligned right with the seat pegs. I have to really pull inward to get the leg into the track. Then when I'm on the water no matter how hard I tighten down the straps, the peg will come out. I think this may have contributed to my capsizing. How can I make sure these pegs stay in their tracks?

I noticed the tracks on my new i12s were a bit crooked but not so much that the seat would not stay put. Sounds to me like you have a hull with a manufacturing defect. If it's new, I would be contacting the dealer for a resolution.
