Post subject:  Why a bilge valve?

Hey guys.

Owner of a brand new i12s here. If the bilge valve is there only to equalize atmosphere in the hull during inflation/deflation... I get it. If it is for draining water out I will not be a happy camper. How is water ingress even possible unless the boat is damaged? Just curious...

Mostly for the air pressure equalization issue during inflation and deflation. And of course can be used as a drain if you did get a leak by puncturing the bottom material.

Thanks Matt. I will never need to drain the bilge. The stiff rubber keel made folding the i12s such a chore I talked the dealer into swapping for the i11s. 8)
