hi all -
in prep for the next season i went ahead and got a pressure gauge to make sure i'm inflating my i11s properly. looking up the pressures here on the forum, i am getting some conflicting info.

in the FAQ at the head of the page, the floor chamber pressure is listed as 6PSI. however, in comments throughout the rest of the board, the floor chamber is listed as taking 5PSI.

can one of the hobie admins please clarify? i guess in the end it's just one PSI, but i want to do whatever will extend the longevity of my boat.

thanks!

6 is max - the issue is if you pump it to 6 - and then you're outside in the sun it will gain PSI - always best to leave it at 5 psi if you're inflating it at the beginning of the day so you have a little room for the heating increase.

How do you know how much PSI you have put into the kayak?

@supervehicle - you would need to use a pump with a pressure gauge or buy a pressure gauge to measure with.

i got one off of amazon that i still need to test.
