I have a 2017 i12s and I started noticing bubbles appearing on the underside of the kayak, along the mirage drive cassette area. Is this normal or is there something more serious going on?

that looks like some level of delamination of vinyl exterior to the drive well. i don't know how serious it is.
did you store it in a hot area?

if it's 2017 it may still be under warranty.

Thanks dry_sockets. I haven't stored it in a hot area and at least thought I took good care of it. Some guy from Hobie said it's only cosmetic, although I think it's more than just that. Just wondering if this is serious enough issue for me to send it in.

That is odd. Did you try the idea of inflating and setting out in the sun? Looks like the bottom fabric lifting a bit.

Heat can soften the glue and pressure stretches it flat.

Yes, I've tried that and it doesn't seem to resolve it.
