question - what are all those little elastic loops on the bottom edge of the seat for? there's one in the middle of each crossbar.

i can't for the life of me figure out what their purpose is...

These are part of the seat used when the legs are folded under the chair (for hard shell kayaks) Same seat is used in our rotomolded kayaks, with a different leg style.
