Rinsing Off Salt

Does saltwater damage the hull in any way? I generally rinse off my i11s, at least the top side, with a portable garden sprayer...but not always the bottom side. The drive gets rinsed off every time, but I was wondering if salt does anything to the actual hull on these inflatables.

i am going to get a small sprayer, just to kind of give it a moderate cleaning on site after i fish. spray it down with fresh water, wipe it down with a towel.

i do think that generally plastics are pretty resistant to salt / corrosion. the i11s is almost entirely plastic save a few parts of the rudder assembly and mirage drive.

Thanks guys. I use half the water in the sprayer on the drive and rod/reels, the rest gets dumped on the kayak.

i ended up getting this .8 gallon sprayer, only because i live in an apartment and wanted to split the difference between capacity and storage.

report back: the pump sprayer was a total game changer for me. really helped make the whole experience a lot more pleasant and tidy. just sprayed every thing down / gave it all a good wipe during the whole yak disassembly process. gave the mirage drive and the rudder assembly special attention.

once i was home all i had to do was wash the drying towels and i was good to go!

I believe this depend of material of the hull, Ph level of water and the type of covering
