I am concerned about a folly. I have a 2009 i9s that was leaking from starboard tube (little snag). I went to Hobie dealer in FL that doesn’t normally handle inflatables. He had an electric pump, and after inflating the three tubes, went to what I now know is the bilge valve, and inflated the heck out of it, using an electric pump. He then comm3nted that it looked like it was ungluing.

I had never inflated that front valve, didn’t know what it was for. How do I know whether some thing was damaged. Not throwing the dealer under the bus, he didn’t know either. But what should I look for. I came back, looked on forum, and saw the newer ones had a do not inflate sticker. I have owned this i9s since new in 2009

Also, most of glued anchor points for seat have turned loose. I think I can buy pvc glue from West marine, clean surfaces with solvent, then use pvc glue, will re anchor.

Thanks for advice.

Mike

Correct. Should not be inflated... does not even have a standard valve to do it.
