The glue on several of the seat anchor patches on my 2009 i9s, plus the mast base, has dried and turned loose. Should I try to clean with acetone and glue with PVC glue from West Marine, or should I start over with the anchor patch kit from Hobie and not reuse the existing points.

Also, is acetone right to clean the kayak PVC surface, or something else.

Thanks to all, have loved my i9s, my wife, who is lighter, has a rigid 9 sport.

You can reuse the same anchors and the base of the mast, remove the old glue and sand with an 80 grit sandpaper. MEK will work better than acetone to remove the old glue. Always use masking tape, during sanding and applying the glue.
Remember that more is not better, several thin layers, allowing 10 minutes to dry between applications, and then apply heat.
Acetone is not suitable for cleaning the kayak, only the areas where the glue is to be applied.
