I am inclined to purchase the i11s currently because it appears to be faster and manoeuvrable than then i9s. However, as I would like to use it for fishing, the open concept of the i11s makes me worried that I am going to drop stuffs into the waters. I intend to fish 1 mile off the coast. Anyone can share your experience on fishing in the i11s?

Been thirteen days, so don't know if you have already made a decision but here is my two cents. I fished offshore for more than a dozen years. I own an i9 and a revolution 13. I would not take the i9 out because it is way too slow hard to maintain speed.(even with turbo drive, which does make a big improvement) Sure it would handle rough seas better and way more stable, but it just takes too much energy.

I have not used an i11 but a friend fishes inland waters with his and his is way faster than my i9. I have heard of many fishing out of an i11 but no experience. Every fisherman uses boxes and bags to hold gear. Regardless of what kayak you use, you really need to leash everything( pole, plyers, net, paddle, drive--everything) so I don't think that the i9 having sides is a big issue, you just need to plan on it. Anyway, my vote would be the i11 or a hard body for offshore.

i have an i11s, and haven't had any issues with things washing off the deck or anything like that. as the poster above said, you should generally leash important items. i have a crate and a soft side cooler that both bungee down behind the seat. the crate holds all the loose items like tackle boxes, etc. i have a set of pliers, scissors, and lip grabbers that are all leashed and sit on the deck below my seat.

the deck of the i11s isn't perfectly flat or anything. there's the main chamber, and then the side chambers are fairly rounded and create a good sized groove that you can rest objects in.

it really is a fun boat, and very easy to pedal and manouver in. i think next season i will invest in the turbo fins. i still have the stock fins, no complaints.

Thanks both for your input. It is not too late as the dealer was waiting for the next shipment to come in before taking orders. I have decided on the i11s.
