I took a couple days and kayaked from Glen Canyon Dam to Lee's Ferry. Wondering if anyone else has done this area.
I tried going up a couple swift water areas and wasn't successful. Had to cross the swift channel to stay out of the shallows with rocks.
Wonder if a tandem would be easier? Some of the river is easy, some is moving close to 6 mph. I guess I need to look at my GPS data.

Thanks for sharing your experience. We took a trip down the Colorado River last year. The river is beautiful, and it was my first trip on a kayak. There was a little current taking us down the river. We went down the river, 6 miles from Bastrop Fisherman's Park. The trip took 2 hours. I can not wait to see the rest of the river, from Bastrop to Smithville. I love the historic Main Street in Smithville, and would love to end my kayaking trip at the end of Main Street.

My experience was the other Colorado river from Willow Beach, Arizona up to Hoover dam then float back down in the dark. Spooky fun. :D No rapids.
