Fort desoto is very nice, there is a boat launch there, and a large protected area on the inside of the L shape of the island just it case it's windy that day. Not sure I would take a PA out to egmont key though, it's quite a distance to Egmont and can get very rough in the deep cruise ship channel. You can also get to the area around the sunshine skyway from ft desoto, but stay away from the big channel on the tampa bay inlet, It gets pretty hostile there also, all over along the sides are nice lots of little islands, inlets and shallows. The fort itself is also very interesting history. Have fun FE |

You can fish anyone of the piers. They have bait shops on them. Miss pass a grille party boat out of pass a grille. You'll catch fish, small but they will be fish. They aslo have a small dock to fish there too. If you use live shrimp, keep them alive. Get a bait bucket with the battery air stone. Don't forget a lic for yourself. If you do go to pass a grille. Shaners deli has great fish sandwiches. |

Check into Weedon Island Preserve. I believe they have a kayak trail there. Haven't been there yet but on my list. |

Downtown Saint Pete (sharks/dolphin manatee/fishing), Gandy Beach (manatee/dolphin/fishing), Ft. Desoto (dolphin/ sharks/fishing), Weedon Island( go at high tide/mangrove tunnels/very shallow) , Honeymoon Island to Caladesi Island( nice beaches) , Hillsborough River(gators/fishing), Weeki Wachee River( pure spring water 72 degrees year round)- best kayaking in central Florida but always busy |
