Recently I noticed several forum members mention the '2008-2009' parts catalog.
When I go to the Hobie website...there is a PDF download for the 2008-2009 Hobie Cat Catalog...but only the 2007-2008 PDF Kayak catalog is mentioned.
Is there a separate 2008-2009 catalog for Kayaks?

There's links at the bottom of the main Kayak page on hobiecat.com

Parts: http://www.hobiecat.com/media/pdf/e2008-09_Hobie_Kayak_PA.pdf

Thanks for address for the 2008-2009 Kayak catalog...

I have a followup question...several forum members have mentioned prices on parts, etc. but the Hobie catalogs never have prices listed...

Are the prices mentioned, passed on from your own dealers or is there
a MSRP list available from Hobie?

The hard copies have prices. Don't know why the published electronic one doesn't since it's used to generated the hard copy.

There are Excel files with pricing, but that's not really the same.

Sorry.

Due to the international nature of our website... prices are not posted. It causes a lot of confusion for differing currency.

Request a printed copy or (Regional) pricing from your dealer.

Come on, Matt... In this day of everything at your fingertips on the Net, including currency conversion calculators, it seems so '80's to not list pricing. My international customers are figuring it out just fine.

And it seems to me that taking pricing out of the e-catalog makes more work, not less, for you. I would have thought that was a good thing.

My international dealers in Mexico, Canada (and other countries)... and distributors in Australia and Europe don't agree.

Their pricing is not a simple calculation of exchange rate. Many items have heavy freight or Customs (Duty) charges. Always best to get the pricing from the regional supplier.

I seriously doubt anyone thinks prices in a catalog include freight or duties. At least anyone from this planet....

Hey Tidalwave... Use Hobie's Contact Us page and ask them to send you a printed kayak parts catalog. That appears to be the only way to get pricing.

Hobie customer service got back to me within about one hour of my email request for a price list. They are going to mail me a paper catalog and a price list! I am impressed that they would be so fast...

But I am wondering why Hobie would want to 'waste' postage sending me
a paper catalog and price list...when they could simply set both up on their website...

I already downloaded their 2008-2009 catalog from their website...I was wondering why they couldn't put a price list on the site also. This should save Hobie a considerable amount of money...a full color paper catalog must cost a bundle these days in printing and mailing.

A 'virtual' price list could be updated whenever Hobie needed to change prices.

that paper copy will sell you more stuff than the online version. If the catalog is laying on the table your more likely to pick it up on an impulse versus opening the file on your computer.
