When i got mine they were $20 Aus, so cheap! Shipping at a guess $50-75? They also had a range of colours, and would probably make them in any colour you wanted.

I did notice today using the yak in Adventure form without sail/outriggers and left the WD on, it creates a bit more splash at the slower pedaling speeds, and i'd probably remove it for nextime.

Excellent idea. Video does a very nice job illustrating it, especially when the bow tries to dive under a wave but re-emerges very quickly, like a second or so. The deflector clearly worked.

What do you think of putting deflectors on each of the amas to effectively end the diving under waves problem?

As I gave more thought to it, the idea of a wave deflector came to me also. I was going to fashion a pretty ugly deflector to try it out. Ironically, I was outside taking pictures of my boats to illustrate some points. When I walked in, looked on the computer and there was your post. I was in semi-shock to see you could buy something off the shelf--great find. Not sure where we can find it in the states, but there must be something similar.
