I just bought a used TI here on Oahu. Came with KB's spray skirt.4
I can't figure out how to attach it. When I looked at it at the seller's house, he had it attached.

I went set the TI up for the first time yesterday. The bow has a shackle, so attaching that part of the skirt was easy. I stretched out the skirt both bays and lined up the strings on the corners but could see anything on the TI that attach them to.

Anyone have instructions?

Thanks

If it's one of my kits, the instructions are on my website at: http://www.kayakingbob.com/ at the bottom of the page on the left.

Any questions just email me.

Let me know how you like it.

Bob,

No, I followed the instructions and the string/loop on the inner corner of the spray skirt doesn't reach the middle of the front mess pocket. Too short. The string on the outside corner DOES reach wear it is suppose to go.

Maybe the skirt is meant for a AI not a TI?

An AI has a longer nose than the TI, so I doubt that is your problem.

No, as Tony said the AI Sprayskirt is longer not shorter.

If the Sprayskirt is new, it is designed to take a lot of force stretching it to fit it (15%), but not normally after the first use or two. Initial install takes two hands steady stretching one side at a time with force to reach the eyelet post. Only the bow (anchor shackle) should be connected while doing this.

Does each back corner loop have a pigtail on it (about 5" long piece of cord with a loop on each end to extend to the pocket eyelet post)? You can compare to the TI Installation pictures (page 2 top and page 3 bottom). The single line with the loop on the end.

If this doesn't help, PM or email me or post more here, (maybe a picture) and I'll get you going. If you were a bit closer we'd just get together to fix you right up, but my truck doesn't have a snorkel. Hopefully I'll make time again to get over there, or you'll find yourself over on Maui. Ether way maybe we could get out for a sail together.

The skirt is used since I bought the TI used. Funny thing is the seller had the skirt installed when I looked at it. Didn't really look too closely.

Yes, the end looks the same as on your instructions page.
