Flat tires, broken frames, punctured hulls and torn rotator cuffs,.. why can't transporting our big Hobie sailing kayaks be easier and safer? These questions have been plaguing us for some time.

After all, what good is the "ultimate AI/TI" if you can't shlep it to and from the water? Or you go around ripping scupper holes during launches? In a hopeful sign, this test vehicle was recently spotted rolling out of the batcave,..

It's built on 30cm beach wheels and designed to effortlessly pull the weight of a fully loaded TI.
As usual, further enhancements are planned.
And yes, it is not cheap!

There are more picts of this 4WD "Bruddah Built" design and a few other concepts that are floating around the twisted minds of our members.

You Hawaiians definitely take the prize this month for being the most innovative Hobie people on this planet. You must have either too much time on your hands or too much disposable money available to you, but good on you for going the whole way guys.
PS...Is that a bat-tent I see in the background on the trailer? ...Pirate

More time spend recently in the shop than on the water, I can tell you that.

That's the BatTrailer with another project under wraps. Our intrepid designer is a multitasker.

Hmmm, I'm starting to wonder about the identity of this mysterious designer.
NOHUHU, you're name wouldn't happen to be Bruce Wayne, would it?
And while we're at it, what exactly happened to your HUHU?

I'll pass that on. Our club is going to torture test the cart this month at our weekend camp and sail. Last time we were there, I blew 2 trax tyres, with help from my friends.

Me thinks there will be a long queue of AI/TI's waiting for rides on the BatCart.

And the winch should be added by then,..

I don't need the cart, as nice as it looks, as this TI only weighs a couple hundred pounds.

But I sure do like the looks of that grid lawn thing. I need something like that on my driveway. What is that called? Is it poured in place like that?

We all know, Batman has everything in black (well apart from his ATI, he knows, yellow is the sexiest colour for kayaks), I presume the "Snowman" may be camping/chilling out in Hawaii.

Wicked cart by the way!!!

Paswind - good one!
Gringo - what about uphill?
Stringy - Original PVC trax tyres. 3 dead so far.
Elm - Batman clearly prefers yellow kayaks. Of course, he likes to wear tights as well.

You all can check out details of the cart at the HKSC site. Our club launch is 1 week away and he should have it ready with some refinements by then. We'll put it to the TI test then.

Here's a couple videos of the initial one-man tests, using the Batboat.

Enjoy!
