I have searched and browsed but can not find any threads specific to the AI (sorry if I have missed something - as I am sure its been discussed) .

Anchor trolleys on the AI? Is drilling required?
If I wasn't using it with the Akas I'd crack on but want to see how this is going to work with all the fixtures and bars.

Would like to see your setup. If your not using one how do you find anchoring between the Aka bars?
Thanks.

Anchoring up for sturgeon here in sf bay, we use a simple quick release system. It has to be releasable with one hand, as the other will have a pissed off sturgeon to deal with.

First, the release Line is tied from that rear bungie thing with enough length tomake it to the side carry handle plus a foot. Next add a carabiner on the carry handle, Clovis hitch the release line to the carabiner. Add a clip to the end of the anchor line. Anchor line then just clips in and slides back- add a float on about 4 feet of floating line, and attach to the anchor line clip and drop the float on the tramp.
To release just pull the Clovis hitch, the anchor line clip will just slide off the release line and take the float off the tramp.

I've got the Hobie anchor trolley installed on an AI. Holes drilled fore and aft for the pulleys. Think it's 2 holes down the side for the guides. Use some goop to help waterproof.

I can take pics if needed.

I'll take some. Might be on the weekend as I leave in the dark and get home in the dark at the moment.
I've even set a reminder in Outlook so I don't forget ....

I've put plenty of goop behind the screws to prevent leaks. So far nice and watertight. Let me know if you want any more pics...
