I have tried Sikaflex to glue in my battery mounts inside the hull and after a while on the Revo particularly, because I keep it stored upside down, the sikaflex has failed.

I am now trying some epoxy

Does anyone have any better ideas?

Just a thought... try Aquaseal. This is a honey-consistency glue designed to repair wetsuits, so it is extremely flexible. I used some to repair considerably damaged turbo drive fins, expecting the repair to be temporary, but they are solid as, even though the split was at least 2 inches long and exposed the stainless steel mast.

Goop. Marine, Plumbers, Automotive, etc., it's all the same Goop.

1. Clean area with alcohol.

2. Scour/degloss with either Scotchbrite or 400 grit sandpaper (nothing coarser).

3. Adhere with GOOP.

It'll stick like nobody's business, but if you ever do decide to remove the item, it can be torn off without damage to the hull.

Epoxy often comes up short on these boats because at some point the hull will flex and the bond will fail. GOOP has just enough give to move with most minor hull flex.
