Post subject: | Casting Platform |
I've been looking for a way to stand and fish from my TI, especially for fly casting. I finally got around to making a platform, similar to the haka benches others have been making, but bigger and solid. I've been very happy with how it works but haven't gotten to use it a great deal yet. I need to get a push pole, and I'm now dreaming about a remote control trolling motor. I made it with cedar T&G, cedar 2x ripped down and stainless deck and trim screws. Thanks to Sun E Sailor for taking the pics. I made it a little less than 6 ft. long because I wanted it to fit in the back of my Subaru wagon, but it could easily be made large enough to fit a tent PS hope the pictures turn out OK - my first attempt |

Too late. Age and gut were a big reason for building the platform. |
