Some of my passengers legs are too short to reach the akas for support, so here is one solution that works very well with my Reeves spine boards (ebay $100 ea. with free shipping - 12 lbs.)
The hand slots accommodate 1.25" schedule-40 plumbing fittings perfectly. The foot rests are inserted sideways then turned 90 degrees to lock in place. When changing tack the are easily removed and transferred to the opposite haka.
Varoom!!!
