Not here..... I've been trying to get down to the Gulf for a fishing trip but work and weather have kept me on dry land. Hopefully this next week I'll get a chance to break away.

Glad your enjoying it!

Nor I either.
I've been repairing dry rot and termite damage on my patio sundeck.
Standing on a ladder for two 8 hour days in a row is a pain in the gluteus maximus so the last thing I want to do is sit in a kayak.
But, the best 2 sections of our seasons are just starting so this pain will soon pass and the pelagic pleasures will start and we all know that the brain remembers the pleasures longer then the pain.

It gets quieter here for a few days each spring and fall, but it is very quiet the last few days... :|

It's been mostly very strong winds here on Maui, which means either too much wind, or no wind depending where we are and where the wind line is. It is very rare for me to go almost 2 months without sailing, unless I'm traveling.

I hear a strong El Nino is probably coming soon which will hopefully bring back our boring 10-15k daily winds that start at 10-11am each day on my side of the island. Do you know here in Hawaii we have about a dozen different ways to say "mostly sunny and warm with normal trade winds" so it sounds different on the weather report each day. :)

KB-

Yeah we should start a "Da Hawaii Problems" thread...
- The weather is too consistent
- The trades blow nearly all the time
- I can't decide which beach to go to
- I can't decide what toy to bring

I've been mostly surfing the last few weeks...that last round of gusty trades made me add another one- "The wind is blowing so hard offshore it's holding up the faces too much...DHP".

Hoping to get out this weekend with the TI!

With the Southerly's blowing I've had two great sails this week in my commute...but only in Adventure mode. Still managed to hit 10km/h a couple times though. Great fun!
Today looks good but as it's my last full day before next weekend I'm getting ready for Broughton!

Guilty - - but average speed that day was 10mph, top was 19.

19mph... amazing! 8)
Still, the thrill is all relative as 10km/h feels a lot faster when you're heeled over so far your elbow is dragging in the water!

Haven't been out at all Tony. Sold my car and then realised that it was the only car we had with a tow ball.

( the lights are on... .....but I'm not home sometimes )

You've got me thinking Stringy, a modified quarterdeck might be the go - it would let you hike out in ama-less mode, though it would also add a few kilos to the load you have to schlep back up the hill after work.

How big a wind NOHUHU? I get nervous taking the Cat out in high winds. (Maricats don't have furling sail).
