Kickin back after a full day in the workshop. My TI 3 project is slowly progressing. :)

I thought I should post the short video I did of my CT seat mod.
The Hobie original seat hight is low and you have to pull the knob and lift the seat to raise it in the rear end. If you lean forward a little bit when the CT seat is in a higher posistion the spring loaded pegs snapp back and its lowered again. This really sucks and does not work for me at all. I mostly use the middle position in the low rear end.
This mod has propably been posted before but a month ago I made a short video of how to do the mod.
Now the springs keep the pegs/flaps the higher position and I pull the handle only if I want to lower the seat!
Works like a charm and I do not understand why did isnt the standard setup from Hobie.

I apologise for the weird psychedelic colors... just some weird bug in my videoeditor app....
Enjoy!

/Gustav

Gustav -

Thanks for your video / modification. I did it on both the CT seats on my Oasis. I was always moving or reaching for something and the seat dropping. So now I can move around, reach or lift up and Yahoo! My seat stays in position.

Great post, thanks.

I reversed the spring on. Mine but had not done the second part which really completes the modification.

Where did you get those sheer blue gloves, it's like you're only wearing color :)

Thanks for posting, just got a 2017 AI with this seat and I too dislike the stock setup.
