Re: anchor trolley... not a fan of installing these on Islands (boat is busy enough as it is) but you really only have one choice - portside. Starboard already has mainsheet running alongside where the trolley would otherwise be.
Railblaza rod holders are OK though I'd be more inclined to use them if I was chasing larger fish. Tuna will likely pull those rail mounts over (at least thats been our experience at Fraser). And the news doesn't get much better with RAM rod holders, especially those tubes (in their default form).
RAM tubes will get pulled downwards unless you create stays, leash or brace for it. No way a RAM tube on its lonesome won't get pulled down by the good Hervey Bay fish. After a lot of trial and error on everything available from RAM, I have again resorted to building my own custom rod holder (designed for the new AI using RAM components). Its a new take on the bullhorn thing I came up with years ago, but I'm going to keep this new version to myself. Its way too elaborate and expensive for the masses and I couldn't be bothered answering questions about how or why I did it (people without experience trolling for pelagics in an AI don't seem to understand the idea of it), nor do I really want to be asked by customers to build it for them. Kind of a shame really, because it is flawless in the field.
What I am prepared to share is how we mounted RAM balls, as everyone of our AI customers that have seen it have wanted it. Its simple and works well
This mod uses RAM space saver mounts, and aka xbar lower clamp brackets (cut down to size). No drill holes required.
Note: I have shown this before, including the next level we took it to (a locking pin to secure ball to socket), but thankfully that post was deleted (I think). I say thankfully because adding the pin compromised the strength of the mount (found this out at Fraser Isl) and this is also partly why I went back to a bullhorn system.
