Hi Everyone! I have an Adventure Island that I like very well. Recently I was given a used AI sail and would like to adapt it to use as a sail for another boat. Unfortunately, I only have one AI mast and that needs to stay on Adventure Island craft. I am unable to find any used AI masts so am looking around for any other mast that substitute. Would a standard 520 cm (about 17', 2 1/8" OD) windsurfer mast ) work reasonably well, and if so, what stiffness should I be looking at? I suspect that I could hand wind the sail onto the mast for reefing, though it would be slow. Any other suggestions for other makes of masts that could work for me?
