Hi
I have a 2016 TI, and got the dolly with the "tuff tires." It's the cradle version of the dolly, not the kind with the posts.

I have two issues with using it:

1. The tire fit so snugly on the axle that they barely turn. I tried breaking it in a bit to see if they would loosen up, but they have not.

2. The straps for holding the kayak on are wide enough that from where they connect to the cradle, they rub against the wheels and cause further resistance. Not to mention the wear on the straps themselves.

Anybody else have these issues? Thoughts?

Thanks

The wheels were tight, but try using a flat file on the end of each axle shaft. You'll find slight high spots that can be filed down and make the wheels slide on and off much easier.

Each strap is bolted to the axle about 2" from the inside of the wheel hub. This 'anchor point' keeps the straps from "walking" along the axle and rubbing on the tires. When the boat is balanced on the dolly these straps can be fastened to the AMA handles and don't interfere with the wheels.
