I am installing the spinnaker kit on my 2014 Hobie Tandem Island. The location of the stern pad eye is much closer to the rear access compartment (two inches behind the lid), as compared to the Hobie video that shows how to install the spinnaker. The pad eye in that video is located about 8-10" behind the rear access compartment. To my knowledge, the pad eye on my Hobie was installed at the factory. The pad eye location presents a question about where to place the stern cheek block. Since the pad eye is so close to where the cheek block would be placed, I question how effective the cheek block will be when attached so close to the pad eye. Any ideas? Thanks

The video shows installation on an AIv2.
Here is where I installed the block on my '10 TI and it works fine:

Not enough room on the after deck on a TI. Stringy's photo says it all :)
