I can't seem to find these anywhere. I went to where Pinterest stole the image from(hobiecat.com) but they don't have anything like these tents. I really like these by what I can see. Hoping someone recognizes these and can get me some info.

These were one-off. Constructed by the guys who sailed the TI in the Everglades challenge. Can't remember if it was 2016 or 2017. Edit: it was the 2015 EC...see below. Keith |

Too bad no one sells them. I would buy one for sure and would be willing to pay a considerable amount for a tent that actually works on a TI. |

Same for me. I need a tent for an off-shore trip to San Clemente Island where landing is not permitted and the winds can be strong. |

I like how simple the setup looks for these trampoline tents but what I’d be concerned about is the windage from those big flat end walls. I also prefer to sleep over the hull. After having spent 14 nights all up sleeping onboard (first on my AI and now TI), I’d say it’s not about the tent so much but more about the platform on which to pitch the tent. Any free standing 1/2/3 person bushwalking tent should work. At the moment I’m trying to improve set up times for my Teton tent. The tent itself goes up in seconds but what takes time is: - fitting 3 hull crossbars for the stretcher - assembling stretcher - fitting stretcher to crossbars - fitting tent supports to stretcher - fitting tent ( more details here https://www.hobie.com/au/en/forums/view ... er#p238677 ) I’m working on a lightweight aluminium framed platform, the same size as the tent footprint, that has tensioned tramp material attached that serves as a base for the tent and as a stretcher. It would be carried on the tramp under the haka. Setup then would just involve relocating the platform over the hull and fitting the tent. These pics were taken on my last 3 day trip back in July where I was testing how well sleeping on board worked with the addition of spinnaker and outboard. The system works well and has been tested in +20 knot winds, but takes too long to fit. A pre-made platform would simplify set up.
