Can anyone point me toward a photo or video showing a deck someone constructed over the forward cockpit of a TI? I saw one several months ago but cannot remember where. It had one or more access ports for wet storage below and may have been an Australian innovation. |

Not sure I'd want to possibly sacrifice sailing performance, but I think this guy has done exactly what you're asking for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5c3nyvWDdSI |

Thanks shadowfox. Modification Power has an interesting design which gives him quite a bit of standing space but it's not the mod I saw. I want to combine supports for a Kamprite folding cot, ala Dan Oja: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgLbUDo5nfQ with a wet storage space and a flat working space (when the cot is stowed) for cleaning fish, cooking, or just standing. When camping, I'll be solo, so I'll remove the forward seat. I also want to avoid cutting or drilling the boat to keep the mod completely reversible. |

Thanks atcbill, you found it! That's the design that inspired me but I had misremembered - It's from Punta Gorda, not Australia. |

I just realized I confused atcbill's location with that of the fellow who posted his deck design on Facebook |

I came up with a deck design that pretty well satisfies my needs. Pictures of that and a few other mods and additions are posted at: https://youtu.be/isThGDvpkpc |

Many of the items and ideas I incorporated were inspired by or copied from inventions by other TI and AI sailors: 1) Haka Hooks aistringy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dG5cfX_RENY 2) Quick Release Anchor System Key West Kayak Fishing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToXuq_wwjcQ 3) Tent on deck Dan Oja https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSOw4AACFKQ Climate, Kayak, and Conversation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gHW1bKdSXQ Hooked On Adventure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNctJwrKbyU&t=143s 4) Cargo Racks Sail 2 Spear https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj4uzY4JXKM |

I found another sailor's deck/tent design at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgzS5OssVf8 It's simpler than mine and, with a deck and tent on each side, two could both sail and sleep aboard. |
