Post subject:  Anchor for Adventure Island

What anchor to get? I tried to get a babybubble from hydrobubble, but that company closed its doors. That, I think, was the ultimate anchor for small craft. (and larger with their larger model). I want an anchor for snorkeling in the Bahamas & Keys, and for just hanging out in Chicago. Maybe even for camping the night once I see jawzney's tent set up!

I have seen little grapnel type fold up anchors, but what size to get? they go as small as 1.5 lbs. Or there are danforth types for kayaks, but Danforths traditionally don't reset very well (bad for leaving a boat unattended on a Danforth).

Any ideas?

Thanks!

for general use I find a 5 lb dumbell adequate under most conditions but for insurance I carry a small bruce/claw anchor (West Marine) and for shallow application a stake out pole (pool que)

I went to West Marine and bought a galvanized 3lb grapnel type folding anchor and 100 feet of 3/16 line (1200lb breaking strength). I am going to put it in this golf shoe bag I have lying around that has netting on it.
