My god, look what he is wearing :shock: I wrecon a 2 year old has more brains than that.

When will people start wearing PFD's and dressing for immersion when out on the water.

Great work on the save and only hope you gave them an ear full of advise.

Being new here I dont want to seem like I am preaching to the choir - but - as a lifeguard for many years and also a rescue diver, I would like to remind everyone that a PFD is virtually useless unless worn properly.

I see many pictures where the PFD is just worn as a vest with the front totally open - it is virtually impossible to secore the front zipper once in the water - try it some time.

At the very least, have the bottom buckle clasped and the zipper at least part way closed ... and make sure the straps are properly adjusted to your body size and shape. It is best to adjust the PFD while in wadding depth water. One that is adjusted "dry" is totally different than when it is wet

...again, I dont mean to preach but I would like us all to remain safe !!
