Checking to see if any Island sailors will be attempting the 2025 Water Tribe Everglades Challenge (EC).

I will be sailing Florida Bay between Islamorada Key and Key Largo (the finish line for the race). I am planning on visiting the finish line to greet the Island Sailors who make it to the finish. I will post videos to YouTube as they become available. https://www.youtube.com/@seewind

The EC 2025 could be a banner year.

Over 20 Islands entered.

See the walk through the starting lineup on Friday. The EC is now underway!

I did get to sail my TI to Key Largo and the EC finish line on Tuesday March 4. I did get to meet and see the awards ceremony for the Class 5 winners. The Hobie Island boats were still out on the water making their way to Key Largo. Upon my return to Plantation Key I did come across another EC Class 5 boat making its way down the ICW for the Key Largo finish line. See a few pictures below from the Key Largo finish line.

I hope to join in the adventure in 2026 with my TI.
In the meantime, I hope I can connect with other Hobie owners in FL.
New owner, but experienced sailor.
