No the main factory facility is in Oceanside, California USA. We also have a fiberglass fabrication and distribution facility in Australia. Our sister Company, Hobie Cat Europe is in France.

What you are seeing are links to dealers around the World. Note the many different offerings... many from US dealers. I suspect the site is auto generated from existing content on the web.

sorry but I do not understand. user traductor.

not as a vendor can sell Indonesia in particular a tandem adventure island at $ 1700 when I imagine that the cost should be higher.

or we make them, or is it a scam

I seems to be advertisements for dealers / distributors. Many from all over the World are shown, including some from the US.

Perhaps if you see a low cost it is an exchange rate (different currency).

Websites like that are a scam I think. They collect information from many sites and list as their own.

So Matt, how come a Hobie Wave costs about $100 more than a Tandem Island in the US, but over $2000 more in Australia?

I doubt that (I don't know what they sell for in Aus)... all models are a bit more in Australia due to transportation, duty, handling and distribution costs. Relative difference in costs should be similar I would think. If you are referencing costs shown on the site linked-to above... don't trust any of it as fact. They show the TI Hull Material as PVC Tarpaulin.

I smell scam.

Matt, here are two screen grabs from the website of the authorised Hobie sailboat dealer in NSW Australia.

I think the problem is that the AI and TI are treated as kayaks and sold through a number of dealers in each state, but for all other Hobie sailboats, there is only one authorised dealer for each state, hence no competition.
This can't be good business for Hobie, especially as there are a number of competing catamarans manufactured locally in Australia.

Our facility in Australia manages all sales in Australia, so direct pricing questions to them... www.hobiecat.com.au (Steve Fields)

I do see that the Wave list price is considerably more than the AI here in the US.

Yeah but it's almost identical to the TI:
