Great thread with lots of interesting ideas.

Currently I do find it difficult to release the main sheet from the cam in my 2013 TI. Normally I would use an upward flick technique with the main sheet that works even in strong winds but currently I have a problem with my right shoulder such that sudden jerks cause sig pain. So a different cleating arrangement would help me.

FYI - I sail my TI from the rear when solo. Given my weight (65kg) I feel it works best particularly in strong winds. I usually have gear and my cart stowed forward of the mast in the hull so being further back probably provides more balance.

I was out for my third AI sailing trip yesterday and thought the same thing. "Why didn't they put this cleat right back here by the centerboard?"

What's that white block beneath your moved cleat? Where do I get that?
