(This post was accidentally submitted in the Hobie Cat forum, so I hope I am in the right place now...)

Can anyone advise as to the better spots for putting in my Hobie mirage adventure Island here in N.E. Fla?

I'm a long time Jacksonville resident but haven't sailed here in my hometown yet, and I've only had the boat out once (near Tampa). I don't want to fight a bad current, want good wind and water depth in a low traffic area of the river or a local lake. I was thinking about Green Cove Springs, or the St. John's near Exchange club island or Goat Island, possibly....maybe St. Augustine if there's not any dangers involved.

Recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Wish I could offer some recommendations. The closest I've come to there are a couple of trips down the St. Mary's. I do pretty much all my kayak camping in the ten thousand islands between Dec and Apr.

Wow.

People might be looking to see what you are saying because they may be planning the same outing.

Myself, if I were in Jacksonville, I would be looking to sail on the ocean. Certainly less boat traffic to worry about compared to sailing on the St John's or St Mary's River.
