Just got back from vacation in Nags Head.

Sailed primarily on the sound side launching from the boat ramp in Manteo at Edwards Landing, Oregon inlet boat ramps, and the Harvey Estuarine sound access (MP16).

Finally near the end of vacation the surf calmed enough for me to have the guts to try a sail from the beach. Had a blast and some picts attached.

Awesome photos.

We vacation in Ocracoke, which is quite a bit farther south than Nags Head, and I sail on the soundside there. I have not yet had a day that was calm enough to try to launch from the beach.

I was just down their a few weeks back as well and launched the TI at Pirates Cove Manteo in the sound. Great place to explore!

The Beach was too rough- still dreaming about a calm ocean day like yours ;)
