Tony,
The bow shackle is an interesting solution for strengthening the bungees.
I've been having problems with the flange on the aka slipping out of the Ama recess when I'm on the tramp..... Can't be too good for the ama tube. Two buttons on the rear aka braces but only one on the front so I'll double up on the back bungees
Wondering how one would use the "dyeema" , rudder line, spectra or whatever to secure the forward ama to the aka.
Do you run the line through the ama tube? Kinda tacky.
Thank for any suggestions
Don,
2014 Papaya TI

Thanks for the specs 1776,
I'm wondering if this length would apply for the short bungee on a 2014 TI. (71/4"?)
About "hog rings", .... Is this a special item? My bungees are simply secured by knots in the inserts.
Best to all,
Don

My single bungees were also knotted. I looked at knotting the doubles, but it didn't look like it would fit in the insert. The length is very easy to control with a hog ring. I got the hog rings at my local west marine. You will need to remove your bungee & inserts, straighten them out and measure the flat to flat on the insert. Just add 2" to the short ones length for the top second bungee.

My AI has the single button to attach the amas shock bungee, but I'd like to upgrade to double cord assembly. Can I purchase and install a second button? If so, what is the part number I should search for?

I cant tell how the dyema is attached. Any thoughts on just securing the ama with line that wont stretch?
