My wife and I went out sailing on September 8, as hurricane Ike was pounding Cuba. The winds up here in SW Florida were gusty, about 15 to maybe 25. Nice clear Vids! Thanks for posting. What were the windspeeds during this? I cannot read the GPS during the vid.... what was it reading. I guess the yellow is just as fast as the red huh. i have yet to see a vid of the sail being adjusted during sailing. Just how much attention do you or can you give it? Thanks. |

Winds were steady at 15 or above, with gusts up in the 25 knot range. The GPS read over 6 knots a couple of times, but never when I had the camera pointed at it. In the clips I got it was showing mid-5's. I'm constantly adjusting my sail, and my wife seldom adjusts hers. Frustratingly, she's about as fast as I am. Must be the red boat, I figure.
