The Dogs just told me your arriving for work!!!!!!

Can you check with your engineering team regarding my modus operandi for enlarging the hole for the mast receiver in my deck as per my post 'mast receiver'?

I have asked Hobie Aus to do the same but not heard back from them yet and as I would like to do the job tommorow thought maybe I could haul you in on this one!!!!!!!!

Many thanks.

Philip

We offer an installation kit with a hole saw, but simply using a drill and a jig saw / hand saw can do it easily enough. Center the hole on the existing mast hole. If installing the older mast cup... the instruction that come with the kit says:

1. To install the larger mast cup, you need to remove your current small mast base and enlarge the hole that it passed through. Reach inside of the front hatch and twist the mast base counterclockwise until you can pull it out of the top. Also remove the small rubber cap that is screwed to the deck.

Many Thanks, Matt, sounds like a piece of cake...ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!! In fairness to Hobie they have just come back to me too, it was a public holiday yesterday (maybe they celebrate the Chinese new Year!!!????) thats why I hadnt heard from them. I shall apply myself with alacrity and post the results.

Again Thanks for your time in answering, appreciate that forums can be at times a double edged sword...but to me this is what they are all about...the ultimate after sales service.
