Post subject:  Adventure hull thickness
Hello again
Well, as per the official Hobie website specs http://www.hobiecat.com/adventure-islan ... sland.html, one can only get to know length and width of the vaka (4.88 and 0.70).
What would be please the max "thickness" of it ? (that is the third measure accounting for total volume)
I'm quite interested in knowing if my car fitted with a roof rack can take the AI on top and still pass below the gate ! :roll:

I just measured mine. It's about 280mm from the bottom to the gunwales (plat-bord). In addition the aka crossbraces protrude a further 60mm above the gunwales. If you carry the boat inverted on a conventional roofrack, you won't have to allow for the crossbraces, as they protrude down below the roofrack, but if you carry the boat upright, you will need to allow at least 340mm plus the height of the roofrack.

PS "thickness" = "depth" in this context :)
