Thanks for trying. There was always that Hope in the back of my mind...

I have some GoPro video that I will try to make something out of and after I toward the end I used my phone.

I will have to do the EC again next year to get new video. Thinking about buying a Panasonic DMC-TS3. More of a Picture Camera than Video but has great reviews.

I took these coordinates off the SPOT data. If I knew how I would post the whole SPOT GPX file.
It's possible to transfer GPX (and other) files using Dropbox. Here's an old one of mine, just as an example.

And a leash? The hobie gear keeper will keep those electronics on your vest and still let you shoot at arms length.

For easy H2O shooting, the Fuji XP's are not too bad. Not great either, but cheap. Let us know what you end up buying.

(I could really use a remote controlled camera).

I have a Pentax Optio W90. I also have the waterproof remote for it. I'm happy with the pics and video. The newer Optio's look pretty good and they have a remote for those also.

I dragged this camera at 4kts underwater for about 30 minutes while attched to a tether. I pulled it up when I figured out what was banging on the bottom of my boat. Still works great. I also dragged an Icom VHF underwater but that's another story. Still works great also.

The new Optio WG-2

Helluva camera. Over 2x the price of the Fujis, but probably 2x the camera. Comes in red.

How much you pay for the remote?

The remote for the Optio W90 was about $30. It's supposed to be waterproof but I have not performed any of my "drag under water" tests as of yet. :D
