Post subject:  Twist n go seating (err whateves)?

Even though I own 2012 TI, and have for 5 months, I still have no real idea how I'm supposed to properly insert the seat pegs. I know this sounds stupid, but what's the deal? When you insert the pegs in the holes are they supposed to be parallel with the hull, or perpendicular? Then do you turn clockwise or counter clockwise? Does it matter? I seem to just twist it around till it seats but I know this can't be good.

Any advice?

It's a simple bayonet fitting with a 1/4 clockwise turn to lock. To insert, the 'handles' under the seat velcro should be pointing fore/aft parallel to the hull. A clockwise 1/4 turn twist so the handles are now parallel with the velcro strip (or pointing across the hull) locks them down.
This assumes that the hull inserts aren't loose and the slots in the threaded insert are pointing fore/aft. :)
