Post subject:  Picked up my new TI today
Well she is home and in the garage. I will post some pictures tomorrow. I picked her up in Lake Havasu today. It was a long but fun 340 mile drive round trip from Vegas. Will work on the trailer some more tomorrow but it worked well. Looking forward to sailing her soon.

I got my new TI today also. It's been a long wait but I'm excited about going out tomorrow. We are going to roll it over to Alamitos Bay and try it out. It's a rare day that isn't windy here in the afternoon so I hope tomorrow is not an exception.

Had a great 7 hour sail today with 3 on board, with the "extra" facing backwards sitting on an Esky behind me. She trolled all day (using one of those cheap lures they put on magazine covers) and had quite a few bites, although none was big enough to keep (but good enough to break my TI's cherry). Enjoy your new purchases folks, even half as much as I do will blow you away.

We took out the new Hobie out early today to do the maiden voyage in lighter winds. Walked it over to Alamitos Bay and dropped it in the water. (Hobies beach cart with the cradles worked great!) We had 8-10 people standing around asking questions about the Hobie. Since it was our first time setting it up they were great at offering advice on stuff we couldn't figure out. Most were obvious…… but we didn't see it. Once we were underway it was awesome. It was so easy to sail and relaxing. Robin set on the tramps for awhile soaking in the sunshine. Very pleased with our new toy and looking forward to taking it into the ocean for some heavier winds. Motorcycle riding all day tomorrow but Monday we’ll be back out sailing! Retirement is glorious!

Well RS702...she's a beaut! Hope you get her wet soon! We LOVE ours and are out in it every weekend and we try a pre-sunset cruise once during the week as well. We wish we had a dollar for every person who has come over and wanted to chat with us while putting it in or taking it out. It seems that what makes other sailboat and cat owners jealous is the fact that we're in the water and rigged in about 10 minutes...and it's only that long because we're futzing with the cooler making sure we have the provisions secured!

Thanks all,

I learned a long time ago to live by the checklist. I have made a checklist for my iPhone and use it everytime I head out. Learned the hard way.
