Please ensure you have a second camera position to record each landing (and kevlar clothing on the ground crew).

that is so cool. so how hard is it to land the 4dcopter on the TI if you are not actually sailing that is??

is it an automatic death sentence if it slips and falls into the water even if rescued?

I would not risk it. The blades might be small, but you could suffer serious injuries, AND these things are just not that accurate for you to try and land one on a trampo while sitting vulnerably right there.

As for an automatic death sentence if dunking... you would have to assume yes, and if it survived would be a bonus.

In my opinion, you are far better to consider using a kite (seriously!), sending the camera up on the line using a picavet cradle which levels the camera platform irrespective of the angle of the line. Set the camera on movie, and capture interesting frames as stills later.

I wouldn't try landing either. Better option is to hover and pluck it out of the air. I use this on the beach. I take off from a sand free location such as a bench or closed pelican box. For recovery I just hover it and walk up and hold one of the legs then shut down the motors.

Unless it was very calm I think a quad may tip over on a trampoline. You could probably make something to hold it steady prior to take off but landing is still going to be a problem.

There are two going from Denmark to Turkey right now. I suspect that distance record may stand for a while.

Is that journey being documented on the web? Do you have a link?
Thanks
