Far more flotation, smoother ride in waves. Only a little more weight on land. I did not notice any more resistance when pedaling even though I did expect to see some.

There's no advantage in winds below about 13 mph or waves below 2 ft. I prefer and sail with my original AI amas in calmer conditions. Your right, in calmer conditions the extra weight slows you down but as the wind picks up your able to leave out more sail than you would with AI amas and you end up faster.

Also, the biggie (and why they originally were added to the BatBoat) Full Haka's, all the way out to the ama's if you want them! :)

That makes sense!! Now for the big question? Does it help catch more fish? Good going guys, nice to push the limits.

Dear Mr. Alter, Just when I thought I was satisfied. Can you please supply me with 4 of those 2014 LAMAs and a box of duct tape? I have more work to do.

Dear Mr. Alter. I know I sounded a bit shook up yesterday. Thanks for all your help. The boat came in today. It is perfect. A 2015 Adventure Pentamaran, just like you said. Please keep this on the down low and remember, those TI sailors don't need one of these. They already have enough boat.

The first mod I'm going to do is to double-bungee those things on, though. 8)

Yea, I'm embarrassed to say that I might actually go out in public with it and take it for a spin.
